HR & Internal Communications

Employees are one of the most important audiences for any company -- but all too often they are treated as an afterthought in communications campaigns. A large part of my career has been focused on HR and internal communications, and I'm familiar with both the pitfalls and the possibilities.

  • For an 11-week period leading up to a merger, I served as on-site HR communications manager on a consulting basis at a major financial services firm. I supervised the drafting of dozens of employee policies, and managed all employee communications for a complicated benefits transition.

  • While at Merrill Lynch, I conceptualized and produced an extensive marketing campaign explaining the 401(k) plan in simple terms, leading to a sharp increase in employee participation.
